THE JOURNEY OF A CHALLENGED WOMAN AFTER SHE ENTERS “REHOBOTH”
Most of the women are identified by the public or the police during patrol and are brought in for admission.
Week one at Rehoboth
After the General physician checks on the medical reports, the lady meets the Psychiatrist who prescribes medication if necessary .
-Shifting of the lady to the shelter for Mentally Retarded women or the shelter for Mentally ill is done after this stage.
Criteria for admission :
Police memo declaring her homeless situation – along with background history and medical records if turned in by neighbors after her care giver’s death.
Week two at Rehoboth
After the admission procedure , she is examined by a nursing staff to check on injuries and other medical conditions. She is given a bath given, new clothes to wear and food and water. A screening test for HIV, Tuberculosis, pregnancy is done.
